‘Suspicious’ fire under investigation

A VEHICLE fire at Pembroke Dock train station is being investigated.

At approximately 9pm last night, Sunday, March 20, emergency services were alerted to a vehicle fire in the car park of the train and bus station in Pembroke Dock.

The fire brigade attended, breathing apparatus, tow hose reel jets and small gear was used to extinguish the vehicle.

The fire service left the scene just before 10pm.

A Fire service spokesperson said: “On Sunday, 20/03/2022 at 09:04pm, firefighters from Pembroke Dock attended a vehicle fire near the railway station in Pembroke Dock.

“The vehicle was destroyed by the fire. The crew extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus, tow hose reel jets and small gear.

“The Fire Service left the incident at 09:56pm.

“The incident is under Police and Fire investigation.”

Police are appealing for information.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said:“Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for information following a vehicle fire in Pembroke Dock.

“A vehicle was seen on fire in the car park of the railway station at approximately 9pm on Sunday 20th March 2022.

“Due to the extent of the fire, identification of the vehicle is not possible.  The fire is currently being treated as suspicious.
