TENBY’S inshore lifeboat was launched just before 2pm on Saturday 30th April, to assist Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust Paramedics and members of HM Coastguard Tenby with a casualty in a cave on St Catherine’s Island.

The volunteer crew were on scene within minutes and were tasked with transporting the already immobilised casualty around to the beach where medics from the air ambulance were waiting to assess her.

The casualty, who had suffered a head injury, was soon safely on the beach and the lifeboat was stood down and returned to station
