Two children airlifted to hospital following incident in Hakin, Milford Haven

THE PEMBROKESHIRE HERALD understands that two children were knocked down by a rolling car while playing on a lawned area in Rectory Avenue, Hakin earlier today (Jul 7).

They were lifted by air ambulance to hospital in Cardiff.

An Air Ambulance spokesperson told The Pembrokeshire Herald said: “I can confirm that the Wales Air Ambulance Charity attended an incident in the Hakin area today, July 22.

“We sent two aircraft to the scene.

“Following treatment from our on-board consultant and critical care practitioners, we airlifted two patients to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.

“Our involvement concluded at 3.02pm.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed that two patients have been airlifted to University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

The spokesperson said: “We were called this afternoon, Friday 22 July, at approximately 12.04pm to reports of a road traffic collision on Rectory Avenue in Hakin,” said a ambulance service spokesperson.

“We sent one rapid response vehicle, two emergency ambulances, and two Wales Air Ambulances to the scene.

“Two patients were airlifted to University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, for further treatment.”

Police said that the road traffic incident which was reported shortly before 12.15pm.

Police in Milford Haven are asking that anyone with information that could help officers with their investigation, or who has dashcam or doorbell footage, is asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police.
