Youth posed as Cancer Research collector

A PEMBROKE youth has admitted fraud after bring caught pretending to raise money for Cancer Research UK when intending to keep the money for himself.

Alfie Shelley, of St Nicholas Crescent, was given a conditional discharge at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (Feb 6) and ordered to pay £105 in costs.

Shelly, 19, was caught after posing as an official collector in Whitland and Lamphey on November 16 last year.

He was ordered to pay his debt to the court at £5 per week.
