Sam Rowlands MS supports upcoming agricultural shows in North Wales

SAM ROWLANDS Member of Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is calling on his constituents to support two county shows in August.

The two day Anglesey Show is being held on Tuesday August 13 and Wednesday August 14., with the

Denbigh and Flint Show the following day on Thursday August 15, with organisers promising plenty of things for the whole family.

Mr Rowlands, a keen supporter of local farmers and the agricultural industry, is now calling on members of the public to back the events.

He said: “ I am delighted to promote these popular annual shows which are a very important part of the rural calendar and attract thousands of people.

“Both are excellent places to experience the best of Wales as many of our Welsh farmers will be showcasing their products and showing their livestock.

“There is quite simply something for all ages whether you just want to browse the various stalls or watch a display. It truly is an agricultural extravaganza and well worth a visit.”

The Anglesey Show, takes place on the Showground, Gwalchmai, Holyhead and the Denbigh and Flint Show on the Green near Denbigh.

Both attract thousands of visitors every year with a wide range of livestock and equestrian competitions, including show jumping and sheep shearing.

There are many other attractions including live entertainment, stalls selling local produce and trade stands showcasing everything from farm machinery to country pursuits.
