LLANDUDNO is set to host a two-day music festival which would see thousands of people descending on the town.
Pine Festival promises famous music acts as well as a fairground, comedy tent and silent discos.
Around 5,000 people would be able to camp at the festival, at Bodafon Farm on Bodafon Road in Craig y Don, if Conwy Council gives the green light.
Pine Festival Ltd has applied to the council’s licensing department, seeking permission for a premises licence at the site.
If granted permission, the festival will take place between 12pm on Friday, August 30 and will continue for campers into Sunday, September 1.
Event organisers have revealed that the festival will have two stages, one featuring local talent and a second featuring famous indie bands, and they hope to build on the success making it an annual event.

Llandudno councillor Mandy Hawkins welcomed the event.
“Anything that boosts tourism in Llandudno and the economy is great for the town,” she said.
The organisers have applied for permission to sell alcohol on the premises between 10am and 11pm on the Friday and Saturday and have also requested permission to serve late-night refreshments.
The applicant has also requested permission for live music both indoors and outdoors between 12pm and 11pm on Friday and Saturday and recorded music between 10am and 11pm on the Friday and on Saturday between 9am and 11pm.
The event was originally planned for land at Abergele, but the festival was moved to Llandudno when Bodafon Farm became available, the land owned by Mostyn Estates.
The festival will also offer a variety of activities, including silent discos, a comedy tent and a fairground.
The organisers also say Pine Fest will feature over a dozen local food vendors and breweries.
Tickets are set to go on sale for the event next month – if Conwy grants permission.
