FARM buildings will be transformed into a holiday let at a Denbighshire village, despite neighbours’ concerns about potential noise.
At May’s Denbighshire planning committee meeting, Robert and Frances Burn were granted planning permission to convert outbuildings at Bryn Penllyn Farm, Llandrillo, Corwen.
The applicants will now extend and convert barns into a one-bedroom holiday let for two people.
As part of the development, a ground-source heat pump will be installed, together with solar panels to the roof and the erection of a ‘lean-to bat roost’ on an adjacent barn.
The extension will be finished in timber cladding with corrugated roofing.
Planning officers recommended councillors granted the plans, despite residents’ fears and four objections relating to the potential behaviour of guests, loss of privacy and noise.
Councillors voted 13-0 in favour of the application.
