Cuddles announced as Watkin Property Ventures charity for 2024

North Wales based Watkin Property Ventures (WPV) has announced that its chosen staff charity for 2024 is Cuddles. The charity works with Ysbyty Glan Clwyd’s Neonatal Unit providing lifesaving equipment and support for families.

Staff were eager to help the work and dedication of the team at the Bodelwyddan hospital with their fundraising activities. The collaboration reflects WPV’s commitment to contribute towards the welfare of the local community.

Mark Watkin Jones, Chief Executive of WPV said: “We wanted to recognise the tireless efforts of Ysbyty Glan Clwyd’s Neonatal staff but also the fantastic work that the Cuddles volunteers do to support them.  They deliver vital services to babies and families facing extraordinary challenges. As our chosen charity I hope we can make a difference and help raise awareness of the amazing work they do.”

As the designated charity, Cuddles will benefit from the fundraising activities of WPV staff throughout the year through various challenges and events.

Cuddles was set up in 1993 with its main mission to compliment the resources provided by the NHS, providing equipment and facilities to the unit so that staff can provide the best possible care for premature babies. Volunteers also give advice and support families as they face difficult first months with their premature babies.

Cuddles is funded entirely from public support, fundraising and donations and is run by volunteers.
