Sam Rowlands MS visits bus depot in North Wales

Sam Rowlands MS for North Wales with Adam Marshall at the Hawarden depot of Arriva

SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, has been seeing at firsthand how Arriva buses operate from their Hawarden depot.

Mr Rowlands was invited to the Flintshire site after running an online survey asking constituents for their views on public transport, in North Wales.

Mr Rowlands said: “I was pleased to be able to visit the Hawarden depot and be shown around by Adam Marshall and see for myself how the operation all works.

“It certainly is a very busy place and it was good to be able to find out more about the challenges faced to keep on top of running such a vital service here in North Wales.

“During my visit I was able to share concerns constituents had raised in my survey about bus services, including their reliability and the number of routes.

“It was good to talk to Adam and hear how Arriva is listening and changing where they can.”

Mr Rowlands, who constantly calls for improved public transport services in North Wales, wrote to Arriva following the results of his survey.

In his letter Mr Rowlands highlighted a broad range of issues raised including improving the number of bus routes, Sunday and evening services, reliability and access for wheelchair users.
