A GENEROUS donation by The Toyota Manufacturing UK Charitable Trust has helped St John Ambulance Cymru to equip its new Community Support Units, which will soon be rolled out across North Wales.
The vehicles will be used by the first aid charity for Wales’ dedicated volunteers at community events across the region. The £3,000 provided by the Trust will help ensure they are fully stocked with all the necessary medical kit to provide the highest level of service.
James Cordell, Partnership and Relationship Manager at St John Ambulance Cymru, said: “We are extremely grateful to The Toyota Manufacturing UK Charitable Trust for this donation, which will ensure our volunteers have everything they need to provide high quality first aid cover at hundreds of events across North Wales.
“As well as helping to improve the experience of our volunteers, we hope the use of this equipment will help us encourage more people to learn vital first aid skills and become volunteers to support our goal to make Wales a community of lifesavers.”
Richard Finchett, Trustee and Toyota Manufacturing UK Deputy Managing Director – Engine Plant & Vehicle Plant Corporate Functions, said: “We are extremely proud to support some amazing causes, including St John Ambulance Cymru, a fantastic charity making a difference in our local communities.”
Keep an eye out for St John Ambulance Cymru at upcoming events in North Wales, including the Deeside Round Table Car Show, to the Hawarden Summer Festival and Prestatyn Carnival.
