Enlli Garton Jones, a talented young apprentice from Llanrug, has been nominated in the Accounting category for the Grŵp Llandrillo Menai Apprenticeship Awards 2024.
Enlli joined Cyngor Gwynedd in 2022, and in just one year her journey from a novice apprentice to a highly valued team member has been one of personal and professional development.
Councillor Menna Trenholme, Cyngor Gwynedd Cabinet member who leads on matters relating to developing talent, said:
“A big congratulations to Enlli for being nominated in the Grŵp Llandrillo Menai 2024 Apprenticeship Awards.
“Since starting her Finance Apprenticeship with Cyngor Gwynedd, Enlli, with the support of her colleagues, has enthusiastically embraced new responsibilities which has deepening her understanding of the skills required in her field.
“In March she represented Cyngor Gwynedd at the Apprenticeship Job Fair, with her captivating presentation skills and insightful guidance to new apprentices having made a lasting impact and inspiring future talents.
“We are proud as a Council to be able to help nurture and develop talent here in Gwynedd through our apprenticeships and graduates scheme, which offer the opportunity for people to gain valuable work experience and gain qualifications at the same time.”
Aron John Llewelyn, Senior Accountant and Enlli’s line manager, said:
“As Enlli’s line manager I strongly support her nomination for apprentice of the year. There’s absolutely no doubt that she’s worthy of winning the award. Her maturity and willingness to learn along with her personality has stood out during her year in Finance, and she undoubtedly adds value to the team.”
