Ryan Reynolds singing tutorial on how to pronounce Rob McElhenney’s name goes viral!

RYAN REYNOLDS has released a hilarious music video to celebrate the birthday of his Wrexham co-chairman, Rob McElhenney. The video features a catchy song that pokes fun at the way people mispronounce Rob’s name. Ryan enlisted the help of Wrexham fans, staff, and even Rob’s wife Kaitlin Olson to sing along. In the song, Ryan notes that there are many ways to mispronounce the name “McElhenney” and demonstrates several incorrect pronunciations.

The lyrics of the song go on to explain the correct pronunciation of the name: “First its mackle like a tackle when we take them to the ground, Then it’s henney like the penny that he’s in for with a pound.” The music video also includes scenes of fans in the Turf, dancers in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Paddy’s Bar, and Rob’s co-stars on the show, along with Maxine Hughes, their Welsh language translator.

The video ends with a Wrexham AFC groundsman refusing to join in on the singing, adding to the comedic effect. Ryan tweeted about the video, joking that a birthday card would have been easier. He also added, “Would be a real shame if this became a @wrexham_afc Racecourse chant.” The co-chairmen have been trying to outdo each other with their birthday gifts, and the video shows that Ryan is currently ahead 2-1.

Rob’s gift from Ryan last year, a commemorative urinal at the Racecourse Ground, also made an appearance in the video. It remains to be seen how Rob will top Ryan’s hilarious birthday celebration. Happy birthday, Rob!
