Sam Rowlands MS supports food and drink event planned for North Wales

SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is calling on his constituents to back a food and drink festival in Wrexham.

Mr Rowlands, Chair of the Senedd’s Cross-Party Group on Tourism, is urging the public to support the upcoming Wrexham Feast running from May 23-25.

He said: “I am a great supporter of tourism in North Wales and delighted to highlight this very popular event for the city.

“The Wrexham Feast is always well attended and attracts hundreds of visitors from the Wrexham area and all over North Wales.

“Wrexham is a tourist destination in its own right and I am really pleased to see events like this are continuing to promote the city.

“It really is fantastic to see North Wales hosting festivals like this as it is a great opportunity not only to bring communities together but it gives local producers a chance to show their wares to the public and visitors alike.

“As chair of the Welsh Parliament’s Cross-Party Group on Tourism, I believe they really do encourage more visitors into our towns, who in turn spend money to help the local economy.”

Wrexham Feast is being held on Waterworld carpark in the town centre with a wide array of food, drink, shopping, entertainment and live music, on May 23, 24 and 25.

It will offer all the usual attractions with plenty of different food and drink on offer to sample and live music and entertainment throughout all the days. There will also be cookery demonstrations from local chefs who will be showcasing their culinary skills.

Whether you want to sample a wide range of street food from around the world or just enjoy browsing the artisan makers, bakers and crafters and independent traders, there is bound to be something for everyone.
