AWARD-winning Bridgend based business, A&R Services, achieves a milestone of 400 staff and marks the occasion by planting a tree for every team member in celebration of Earth Day.
The Bridgend based Soft Facilities Services provider, A&R Services, has achieved a significant milestone this month, having grown their team to 400 staff.
With Earth Day falling in the same month, on Saturday, April 22, they decided to celebrate the occasion in an eco-friendly way by planting a tree for every member of the A&R Services team, which will offset approximately 8.9 tonnes of CO2 per year.
Ashley Davies, Managing Director, said: “We are proud to have grown our team to 400 members of staff, especially as we started from very humble beginnings 13 years ago. As a Soft Facilities Services provider who focus on cleaning, security and additional soft facilities services, our people are our greatest asset.
“They are at the heart of our business. By planting these 400 trees, we are taking another step towards a greener future and doing our part to protect the planet for generations to come.”
A&R Services has increased their commitment towards sustainability in general. They have achieved the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems certification and are integrating sustainable practices into the company’s operations in a number of ways. In addition to carbon offsetting, A&R Services are focusing on reducing their carbon footprint, improving waste management for themselves and their clients, using eco-friendly cleaning products and increasing the number of hybrid and electric vehicles in their fleet.
