Bryn upset Dafen in West Wales Cup

BRYN Rovers upset West Wales Premier League side Dafen on Saturday (Dec 3) as they beat them 4-1 in the third round of the West Wales Cup.

The Neath League Premier side came from behind to earn the victory and they will now look forward to their tie in the fourth round of the competition.

Dafen were forced into a change on 20 minutes as Sam Evans was brought on for Rory Johns and just two minutes he opened the scoring.

Their lead only lasted for thirteen minutes though as Josh Jones levelled the game at 1-1. And just two minutes later the Neath League side were ahead as Connor Butler scored.

They held on to their 2-1 lead until the break and were confident they could cause an uspet.

The second half was only a minute old when Bryn’s Paul Sypliwtchak scored to make it 3-1 to the home side.

Despite Dafen’s efforts they were unable to get back into the game and Bryn made the game safe with four minutes to go when Josh Jones scored his side’s fourth.

Bryn saw the game out and will now look forward to a return to league action on Saturday, December 10, as they host Harp Rovers.

Dafen are also in action in the West Wales Premier League as they host South Gower.
