FIVE new homes can be built in a “large garden” area behind a row of detached houses in Fleur de Lis.
The project, if it goes ahead, will also involve the demolition of 40 Victoria Road, to make way for a new access road to the planned homes.
Each of the new properties will be detached and two storeys in height, and contain up to five bedrooms.
At a meeting of Caerphilly County Borough Council’s planning committee, members heard the application had received no objections from neighbours.
Planning officer Liz Rowley told the meeting the proposed homes “would have little visual impact on the public realm” and “no impact into neighbouring properties”.
The committee voted unanimously to grant planning permission for the scheme.
