NATIONAL trade body, the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has announced Robert Price Builders’ Merchants, which has its headquarters in Abergavenny, as one of five nominees for its Training Company of the Year 2023 Award.
Nominees for the Training Company of the Year are selected by BMF Regional Managers based on a commitment to supporting and developing teams through BMF training.
As part of a commitment to training, Robert Price Builders’ Merchants commissioned a bespoke ‘excellence in branch management’ programme, as well as investing in BMF courses including excellence in business writing, how a house is built and search engine optimisation.
David Pattison, Sales Director at Robert Price said: “We are delighted to be nominated for the BMF Training Company of the year award.
“Engagement with the BMF has enabled us to deliver high quality training to our staff over the last year.
“The behavioural change as a consequence of the training continues to produce improved performance, morale, and overall peer engagement.”
The company was nominated by BMF Regional Manager for South West and South Wales, Richard Jones.
He said: “As a company, Robert Price Builders’ Merchants has shown a strong and ongoing commitment to provide learning and development opportunities for their staff to enable and encourage them to reach their full potential by accessing a range of classroom based and online learning programmes and apprenticeships.”
The BMF Training Company of the Year 2023 will be announced at the BMF Members’ Day Awards Dinner on September 21, following the BMF Members’ Day Annual Conference at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham.
