On Sunday evening, multiple fire crews responded to a fire adjacent to Tiny Rebel Brewery on Newport’s Wern Industrial Estate.
Drinkers were evacuated from the brewery in Rogerstone around 21:00 GMT as emergency services were called to the scene.
Flames were reported emerging from the roof of a neighboring warehouse. Gwent Police provided assistance, maintaining cordons and facilitating traffic access for fire appliances.
The incident was reported around 20:50 GMT on Sunday, January 14, prompting a warning to the public to avoid the immediate area.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “We received a report of a fire at a commercial premises on Wern Industrial Estate, Chartist Drive, Rogerstone at around 20:50 GMT on Sunday, 14 January.
“Officers have attended in support of colleagues from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service to assist traffic access for fire appliances and to maintain cordons to keep public safe.
“We ask that people avoid the immediate area at present.”
Despite the major fire in the adjacent building, Tiny Rebel Brewery reported that their facility remained untouched.
