PLANS to convert an empty former shop last used as offices in the centre of Blaenavon to two flats have had the green light.
Craig Harris, of Sycamore Road, Blaenavon has asked Torfaen Borough Council for change of use planning permission for 4 Market Street.
The ground floor flat will include a hallway, lounge space, two bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen, dining space while the first floor flat would comprise a hallway and a combined living, kitchen, dining area as well as two bedrooms, and a bathroom.
Planning officer Tom Braithwaite stated in a report, that approved the application: “The proposal seeks an acceptable repurposing of a disused building for residential purposes within the settlement boundary.”
