SCHOOLS across Carmarthenshire joined in the Queens 90th Birthday party celebrations with sandwiches and fairy cakes.
Dining rooms were bedecked with bunting, balloons and colourful flags.
A total of 135 children enjoyed the celebration at Tumble Primary School, which boasts past rugby-playing pupils Dwayne Peel and Gareth Davies, Chairman of the WRU.
Councillor Gareth Jones, County Executive Board Member for Education and Children’s Services , said: “It was tremendous to see so many county schools getting involved in the regal celebrations.
“These special occasions tend to be what lasting school memories are made of.”
