Wales’s largest walking charity, Ramblers Cymru, have been awarded funding from Carmarthenshire County Council’s allocation of the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund [SPF] as part of its levelling up agenda. This funding will be used to help communities in Carmarthenshire improve their paths and access.
Ramblers Cymru is appealing to Carmarthenshire’s walkers to support our work and join up as path survey volunteers.
Amy Goodwin, Ramblers Cymru’s Regional Officer for Carmarthenshire said:
“We are delighted to be working on this project with Carmarthenshire County Council to survey the path network across the county to identify their condition and gather valuable information to deal with issues, making the routes more accessible for more people to enjoy the benefits of the outdoors.
“To help us do this we’re looking for the support of volunteers, so if you are passionate about paths and could help us do some surveying, we would love to hear from you.”
