A community concert featuring a variety of Welsh acts, including local favourites Stickman, has been planned for the 24th November at the Ffwrnes Theatre in Llanelli.
As well as showcasing local talent, the concert serves as an opportunity to reconnect the community following disagreements and tensions around the Stradey Park Hotel.
The Croeso i Llanelli headliners, Stickman, are a disco punk band born and raised in Llanelli.
Playing alongside them will be South Wales alt-rock act Holoson, as well folk singer Mari Mathias and punk rock band No Murder No Moustache, who will both be performing in Welsh. Duke Al, a Cardiff-based rapper and poet, will emcee the evening.
Organiser Steve Kelshaw said: “We know the majority of the community share our values of diversity, community and respect. It’s time we all got together to enjoy something positive, after some of the negativity there’s been in town.
“The Croeso i Llanelli concert will be a chance to hear from some amazing artists – there’s something for everyone.
“Times are hard and we want as many people to come as possible, which is why we’re happy to have concession ticket prices”
Headliners Stickman said: “We’re hoping that the concert will be a chance to promote the unity and inclusivity that we’ve always been used to in this town.”
