Local MP Jonathan Edwards was delighted to attend the Young Builder of the Year awards this week in Parliament. The event saw Brandon Davies from Carmarthen, reach the final of the Builder of the Year awards and finishing a runner up. Brandon is employed by Sustainable Fuel Solutions (SFS) an Ammanford based company and he is employed by Cyfle building skills, a shared apprenticeship scheme.
Mr Edwards stated: “It was great to attend the awards ceremony with Brandon and also Mr John Garland from SFS. It is always important to celebrate the success of young people and to provide them with the opportunities they deserve. The Cyfle Building Skills shared apprenticeship scheme is beneficial for both the employer and the apprentice and the fact that Brandon reached the final of the Young Builder of the Year awards demonstrates the success of the scheme. It is clear that there is a very bright future ahead of him and I wish him all the very best.”
