The SA15 Stage School in Llanelli has raised over £3,000 for the Chemotherapy Day Unit at Prince Philip Hospital.
The SA15 Stage School is a community stage school with over 200 members between the ages of 4 and 18.
They donated proceeds from an online raffle and auction at their most recent showcase at Y Ffwrnes Theatre to the Chemotherapy Day Unit in memory of Wayne Evans.
Wayne passionately fundraised for the chemotherapy unit as a thank you for the outstanding care he received, and completed the Wales 5k run at the Long Course Weekend with a team of family and friends in July 2023.
Jed and Vicky Davies, owners of SA15 Stage School, said: “Each show that we do, we try and fundraise for a charity which has supported someone close to SA15.
“Olivia, a member of SA15, sadly lost her father, Wayne. We spoke with the family and said we would like to fundraise for a charity of their choice. They chose the Chemotherapy Day Unit at Prince Philip Hospital as Wayne received great care and support there.
“We were pleasantly surprised by the generosity shown by those who donated prizes and supported our fundraiser by purchasing tickets and bidding on the auction. Our efforts were certainly rewarded by the final amount raised.
“We would like to thank every individual and business who kindly contributed with prizes for our raffles and auction and also to each person who purchased a ticket or bid in our auction.”
