Traffic on the A40 in Carmarthenshire grinds to a halt following a two bus, one car collision

A collision involving two buses and a car led to significant traffic congestion in Carmarthenshire, specifically on the A40 near the Cross Hands roundabout. Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police reported that there were no injuries in the incident, which occurred at approximately 7:20am.

Following the accident at the A4242 Pontlesneven roundabout (B&Q), a section of the roadway was obstructed. Traffic monitoring systems indicated congestion back to the Llanllwch turn-off, and delays also affected St Clears Road and other routes into Carmarthen as drivers sought alternative paths to bypass the incident.

Both lanes were temporarily shut down to facilitate the recovery process. The reopening of one lane occurred at 9:52 am, and both lanes were fully operational by 10:17am.
