Pembroke outdoor activities instructor denies inciting sexual activity with 14-year-old boy

Pembroke outdoor activities instructor Sean Golder has appeared before Swansea Crown Court to deny inciting sexual activity with a 14-year-old child.

Golder, 54, of The Pound, Pembroke Dock, is accused of arranging sexual activity with a 14-year-old boy between March 7 and March 11, 2023.  The offence is alleged to have taken place in Carmarthen.

He is further charged with communicating with the child under 16 in a sexual nature and of attempting to engage in sexual activity with a child under 16 between the same dates.

Golder, who is a veteran of 22 years’ service in the Royal Fusiliers, faces two additional charges of being in possession of a hunting knife and a lock knife in the Morrisons supermarket car park, Carmarthen, on March 10, 2023.

The Crown confirmed that a sexual enhancing substance allegedly discovered inside Golder’s works van on the day of his arrest has been sent to a laboratory for analysis.  

This morning (Friday), Golder appeared before Swansea Crown Court where he entered not guilty pleas to all five charges.

His trial will commence on August 29 and is expected to last for a minimum of  two days.

Golder was remanded in custody.
