MEET storytellers and characters from best-selling children’s book ‘Mysterious Islands’ to set the tone this Friday from 4pm for Haverhub’s first hilarious family film ‘The Pirates’ – followed by their film night screening of action film ‘Baby Driver’ in the depot.
“Following on from our popular family-friendly courtyard ALTERNATIVE MARKETS events recently, this marks another Haverhub team idea to make Haverfordwest more family friendly and get people together of all generations in our safe chilled courtyard and depot” says Venue Manager Molly Lewis.
Project Director, Gitti Coats, said: “Summer gives people a chance to mingle in comfort after school and work but we know it can be hard to get out and relax as parents and grandparents in the town centre. This is what Friday 23 at Haverhub is all about. I hope people will come and support us in putting on this latest family offering so that we can do more!
“We started planning film nights because the Palace Cinema had closed. We are very pleased for the town that the wonderful, listed cinema building has reopened as a cinema, saving yet another iconic town gem from dereliction and supporting the character of our historic town.
“We look forward to complementing their programs with some film events with a difference, and using our whole site so children can run around while their families relax outside this summer.”

Baby Driver is a 2017 action film written and directed by Edgar Wright. It stars Ansel Elgort as a getaway driver seeking freedom from a life of crime with his girlfriend Debora (Lily James).
Doors open 4pm, for pirate fun and storytelling, food with Haverhub Events Menu available and bar open. 5.30 screening of Pirates, and the 7.30 screening of Baby Driver!
