Police appeal for info after seizure of cannabis growth paraphernalia in Pontsian

DYFED-POWYS POLICE have launched an appeal for information after the seizure of cannabis growth paraphernalia in a former school building in Pontsian. The police received a report on March 25, 2023, that cannabis was being grown in the building, prompting officers to attend the scene.

Upon arriving at the location, the officers entered the building to ensure that no one was inside, as the building appeared to be unsafe. While inside, they found evidence of cannabis having been grown in the building and subsequently seized the equipment used for cultivation.

The police are now appealing to the public for information about suspicious behaviour in the area or sightings of individuals entering the former school building. Anyone who can provide information that could assist in the investigation is urged to come forward.

Dyfed-Powys Police have provided several means for the public to contact them with any information they may have. People can submit tips online via the official Dyfed-Powys Police website, send an email to [email protected], or call the non-emergency number 101. For those who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech-impaired, they can use the non-emergency number 07811 311 908 to send a text message.

The authorities have reminded the public that they take the cultivation and distribution of illegal drugs extremely seriously and that anyone caught engaging in these activities will be prosecuted. They have also stressed the importance of reporting any suspicious behaviour, as it could help prevent drug-related crimes in the community.
