FAMILIES from across Swansea are making use of a range of council-run fun activities and attractions this summer.
With local school summer holidays having just started, Swansea Council wants to ensure that there’s something for everybody.
Things to do during the long break include low-cost and free activities, and visits to entertaining locations.

Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “There’s lots to see and do in Swansea this summer. Families won’t have to look too far for fun and entertainment.”
Swansea’s many council-run parks and beaches – three with blue flag status – are great for picnics and adventures.

Other outdoor attractions include the pedalos in Singleton Park, the free-of-charge Blackpill Lido and newly painted crazy golf in Mumbles’ Southend Gardens and in Singleton Park.

Live theatre fans can enjoy outdoor shows at Oystermouth Castle which also plans to hold a Prince and Princesses Day on August 28.

The council’s cultural venues and libraries will be running many free events. They include the Dylan Thomas Centre, Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Swansea Museum and the National Waterfront Museum.
