Two week delays expected on A48 at Pont Abraham

One of west Wales’ busiest stretches of road is to be affected by major roadworks for the next fortnight when ‘essential carriageway resurfacing’ takes place on the A48 between Pont Abraham and Cross Hands.

Only the westbound side of the carriageway will be affected, which will cause disruption to traffic travelling towards Carmarthen.

Work on the 3km stretch got underway on Tuesday night (April 11) and is expected to continue until April 26.

Traffic Wales has confirmed that the work will be carried out over a total of 12 nights, when lane closures and traffic convoys will come into force.
