First person to run all of Wales’ mountains in one trip comes to Llanelli

THE FIRST person to run 189 Welsh mountains in a single journey, and the President of Ramblers Cymru will visit Llanelli next month as part of the Kendal Mountain Festival Tour.

When Will Renwick set out on this challenge, he had no expectation of completing. A solo and self-supported 500-mile run taking in all 189 of Wales’ mountains.

It soon transpired, however, that positivity, determination and the will to support an important cause would carry him far further than he could ever have imagined.

Will achieved this incredible feat of endurance in a record-breaking time of just 23 days and raised an incredible £12,500 for Mind Over Mountains, a charity which works to restore mental health through nature.

Alongside the film showing, join Will on stage at the Ffwrnes in Llanelli on March 11 where he’ll be sharing his incredible personal story and epic tales from his recent adventure.

The event, part of the Kendal Mountain Festival UK Tour, also features award winning adventure films from those creating waves in the worlds of cycling, skiing, mountaineering, swimming and regenerative farming – to name just a few!

Steve Scott, director of Kendal Mountain Festival and Tour presenter says: “Kendal is all about adventure; stories of extreme human endurance, breathtaking environments and adrenaline-fuelled excitement. Our Tour events are mini-Festivals that distil this spirit of adventure and exploration into one unique evening.”
