Air Ambulance called to incident at Dale

A rescue helicopter was called to a medical emergency on Pembrokeshire beach on Tuesday afternoon (Feb 21).

A 999 call was made at approximately 1:30pm after a male suffered a serious medical complaint.

Ambulances and police attended Dale beach, and were supported by the Wales air ambulance – however sadly the patient died on the way to hospital, it was later confirmed

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said:

“We were called at 12.49 Tuesday, February 21, to a medical emergency on the beach in the Dale area of Haverfordwest.

“We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car and an emergency ambulance to the scene, where crews were also supported by an air ambulance.”

A spokesperson from Wales Air Ambulance said:

“We can confirm that the Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident in the Milford Haven area on Tuesday afternoon (21/ 02/23).

“A crew from Dafen was allocated at 12:59 and arrived on scene by helicopter at 13:32. Our involvement concluded at 14:29.”

“Police were called just before 1pm on Tuesday, 21st February, to a report of a medical incident on Dale Beach, Haverfordwest. “Sadly a man passed away. Our thoughts are with the family.”
