Carew go third with win over Pennar

CAREW moved back into third place in Division 1 on Tuesday night (Mar 29) as they beat Pennar Robins 4-2.

Sam Christopher put the Rooks ahead after 11 minutes and he doubled his side’s lead three minutes before the break.

Pennar hit back early in the second half as Tom Grimwood scored on 47 minutes to get his side back in the game.

And they levelled just eight minutes later through Sean Edmundson.

However, Archie Smith scored to put Carew back into the lead after 71 minutes.

Six minutes later they were awarded a penalty and Shaun Whitfield scored it to all but seal the points for the home side.

On Saturday, April 2, Carew host Clarbeston Road while Pennar travel to Hundleton.
