A MAN in his forties has been apprehended by Essex Police under suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter, linked to the tragic passing of George Gilbey, a well-known face from the television show Gogglebox.
According to authorities, Gilbey, aged 40, met his demise following a workplace incident.
Gilbey, recognized for his appearances alongside his mother Linda McGarry and late stepfather Pete McGarry on the Channel 4 program, became a household name.
The unfortunate loss of Pete McGarry in 2021 at the age of 71 had already saddened many.
Additionally, Gilbey had ventured into the realm of reality television, notably participating in the 14th season of Celebrity Big Brother back in 2014, where he notably made it to the final stages.
