Foundation exhibition at King Street Gallery

C O N S U M E R I S M , SUSTAINABILITY and bullying are inspirations behind a new exhibition being held in Carmarthen which is focussing on the
theme of respect.

Foundation Diploma students at Coleg Sir Gâr’s Carmarthen School of Art will be exhibiting their work at King Street Gallery’s Chate Room from Friday March 20 until March 26.

Respect is a college-wide initiative which encourages staff and students to think about how they respect others and is supported by an annual multi-campus roadshow given by performing arts students.

Last year, Foundation Diploma students created a pop-up exhibition in St Catherine’s Walk and in the run up to the course’s 50th year, students have explored this year’s emotive theme using painting, photography, print, 3D art and design, fashion and textiles and moving images, which correlate to the subjects studied on this art programme.

A private view is being held at King Street Gallery on Friday, March 20 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
