Reducing the number of motorcyclists killed and seriously injured on our roads is a priority for Carmarthenshire County Council and its partner agencies.

As a result, the council, with support from Welsh Government, is providing free courses to improve safety.

Whether you’ve just passed your test, are returning to biking after some time or you’ve been riding for years, you can learn something new and improve existing skills.

Dragon Rider Cymru is a full day course of enhanced rider skills delivered by experienced and accredited instructors and tailored to meet the needs of the individual.

Biker Down! Cymru aims to reduce the number of motorcyclists killed or seriously injured in road collisions. The three-hour course will give participants a better understanding of what to do in an accident.

Both courses are free to residents thanks to road safety grant funding from Welsh Government.

Executive Board Member for Transport Cllr Hazel Evans said: “I would urge motorcyclists in Carmarthenshire to take advantage of these free courses, even if they are experienced riders, as I am sure they will benefit from attending.”
