Eddies bouncer accused of assaulting clubber

A NIGHTCLUB bouncer has been sent to Swansea Crown Court for trial charged with assault causing actual bodily harm to a clubber.

Sam Skinner, 39, of Charles Street, Neyland denies the charge which allegedly took place at Eddy’s Nightclub, Haverfordwest on September 9.

Crown Prosecutor Sian Vaughan alleged that the complainant, Mr Ryan John Lewis, was being escorted out of the club when Skinner, who was working as a doorman, picked him up by the neck, swung him around causing his feet to leave the floor and threw him onto the pavement causing him to lose consciousness.   “The complainant was vulnerable because he was intoxicated and unable to defend himself,” added Miss Vaughan.

Magistrates declined jurisdiction and committed Sam Skinner to Swansea Crown Court for trial on February 15.  He was granted unconditional bail.
