Gary Jenkins: three found guilty of ‘homophobic’ murder

TWO males and a 17-year-old girl have all been found guilty of murdering a doctor, Gary Jenkins, in a homophobic attack in a Cardiff park. 

Lee Strickland, 36, Jason Edwards, 25, and Dionne Timms-Williams beat and robbed Dr. Gary Jenkins, 54, in Bute Park in July 2021 and left him to die. 

All three had admitted manslaughter, but following a trial at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court, they were found guilty of murder

They will all be sentenced at a later date. 

Dionne Timms-Williams, from Creigiau, was 16 at the time of the crime, can now be named as the judge has lifted reporting restrictions.
