NFU CYMRU’S St Clears office has appointed a new Assistant NFU Cymru Group Secretary, Rob Thomas, who will work alongside Senior Group Secretary, Dylan Phillips. Rob is a familiar face to many local farmers, having worked his way up the ranks over the past eight years in the St Clears NFU Cymru Office. He grew up on a local dairy farm near Banc Y Felin, which instilled a passion in Rob for agriculture and rural life.
Commenting on his new appointment, Rob Thomas said: “This is an exciting time in my career and I am very much looking forward to working for NFU Cymru and developing the business to benefit our members.” Welcoming Rob to the team, John Mercer, Director of NFU Cymru said: “I’d like to welcome Rob to NFU Cymru at a time which is so vital for Welsh agriculture.
He has both the enthusiasm and the drive to service our members and businesses and will be an integral part of NFU Cymru’s team going forward.”
