Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds buys £1.5m home in north Wales Village of Marford

HOLLYWOOD star Ryan Reynolds has surprised residents of the quiet village of Marford in North Wales by purchasing a property worth an astonishing £1.5million. The 46-year-old actor’s decision to commit to the country came after he recently bought Wrexham football club, which is nearby.

According to sources, Ryan’s new Welsh home, believed to be worth £120m, has drawn attention from the locals who are excited about having such a high-profile celebrity living in the village. “The most famous person from Marford is Tim Vincent from Blue Peter, so a Hollywood star is a step up!” one local resident reportedly said.

Ryan’s posh road is said to be the talk of the town, and it’s expected that the red carpet will be rolled out whenever the actor comes to town. The star is believed to have bought a four-bedroom home in the area, which he will share with his wife Blake Lively, 35, and their four children: James, eight, Betty, six, Inez, three, and their youngest child, who was born earlier this year.

Ryan is not the first famous face to turn heads in the village, as he will follow in the footsteps of Wrexham-born Blue Peter star Tim Vincent. However, he won’t be competing with Tim at the local farm shop, as the presenter has since moved to Los Angeles, where he hosts Access Hollywood and Phenomenon.

Despite reports that Blake was unhappy about Ryan’s football purchase initially, she has since been seen cheering on her husband’s team and interacting with crowds during matches. The Hollywood star has also brought their children multiple times to watch the club in action.

Ryan recently revealed during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he had to break the news to Blake about his football club purchase. “I remember seeing Blake, saying: ‘I have bad news and I have really bad news. I slipped into someone’s DMs again. The really bad news is that I might have bought half of a fifth-tier national football league in Wales’,” Ryan said.

Ryan’s acquisition of Wrexham football club, alongside It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor Rob McElhenney, has made headlines worldwide, and fans are eagerly waiting to see what the future holds for the club under their ownership.
