Adams’ treble beats Milford

PENNAR Robins moved up to sixth place in the table on Monday night (Apr 1) after they beat Milford United 3-1 thanks to a hat trick from Ben Adams.

Adams put Pennar ahead when he chased the ball down into the box and he rolled the defender before firing into the corner.

Milford then had a penalty appeal waved away as the referee said the foul was just on the line.

Pennar were then given a penalty after Adams had been brought down and he picked himsef up to dispatch the spot kick to double his side’s lead.

The visitors then saw another shout for a penalty turned down and the home side then made it 3-0.

Milford were caught in possession at the back and the ball was crossed in for Adams who slotted in to complete his hat trick.

Milford played well at the start of the second and had a couple of chances to get back into it but were unable to take them.

With fifteen minutes to go Scott Griffiths scored his first goal of the season as the ball was played low to him and he toe-poked the ball into the net.

They then had a number of chances to get back into it but were unable them and Pennar were able to see the game out comfortably.

Tomorrow (Apr 3), Pennar are in action in their final game of the season as they host Hakin United. Milford are also in action as they take on Carew at Marble Hall
