Boswell sends Cosheston to final

COSHESTON’s Dalton Boswell scored a hat trick as he helped his side reach the final of the Division 4 Cup on Saturday (Mar 30).

His treble and a goal from Simon Lewis saw them beat Pennar Robins Thirds 4-3 at Marble Hall.

The win sets up a final date with Hundleton Seconds at the Bridge Meadow on Wednesday, April 17.

Boswell scored his first to give Cosheston the lead as he fired in from inside the box before Craig Butland equalised for the Robins.

However, Boswell scored again to make it 2-1 as he raced on to a ball over the top before finding the bottom corner.

Cosheston made it 3-1 before half time but they knew they would face a comeback in the second half.

Pennar indeed did make an excellent comeback with goals from Sonny Price as he tapped in and Jamie Groves scored a cracking header to make it 3-3.

Just as it looked like extra time would be needed, Cosheston were given a penalty with four minutes to go which they scored to make it 4-3.

Boswell completed his hat trick while Simon Lewis grabbed the other goal for Cosheston.

Despite their efforts the Robins were unable to find a late equaliser and Cosheston saw the game out to progress to the final.
