Haworth scores six as Bridge beat Narberth

AFTER two straight defeats, Merlins Bridge got back to winning ways on Thursday night (Mar 31) as they beat Narberth 13-1.

Will Haworth opened the scoring on 21 minutes and he added a second just three minutes later.

Jordan Williams made it three soon after and Haworth completed his hat trick before half time when he slotted in a penalty to make it 4-0.

Haworth then scored two goals in the space of a minute ten minutes into the second half to take his tally to five.

Adam Hawkins and Ben Davies both scored before Narberth were reduced to ten men when Ryan Williams was sent off.

Haworth then scored his sixth before Hawkins scored twice more to complete his own hat trick.

Williams then added his second before Narberth pulled a goal back late on through Lewis Hough as the visitors did not give up.

Hawkins had the final say though as he scored his fourth to seal the win for the home side.

The win sees the Bridge climb back up to fifth place in the league.Their next games see them take on Fishguard on Saturday, April 2, before travelling to Tish on April 5.

Narberth’s next game sees them travel to Hakin on Saturday, April 2.
