Medal success for indoor rowers

TWO rowers from Fishguard and Goodwick Jemima Rowing Club returned with medals from the 2015 Welsh Indoor Rowing Championships recently held in Cardiff.

Rachel Latter received two gold medals in the lightweight category after winning the 2000 metres race and the 500 metres sprint in the women’s 30-40 age group. Peter Kedward was on the podium as well, finishing third in the men’s 2000 metres 60-70 age group. The Welsh Indoor Rowing Championships were established in 1998 and take place in the Channel View Leisure Centre in Cardiff. Over 300 entrants took part in races that included the 2000, 500 and 100 metres sprints as well as timed races over 2 to 5 minutes with ages ranging from 11 to over 80.
