Milford United held to draw by Hakin seconds

MILFORD United were held to a draw by Hakin United seconds in Division 2 on Saturday (Mar 12).

After a goalless first half it was Milford who took the lead ten minutes into the second half. Liam Parr opened the scoring but four minutes later the home side were down to ten men.

Scott Griffiths was sent off and just three minutes later Bradley Barrett scored from the penalty spot to level the game at 1-1.

Liam Parr recieved a second yellow card shortly before the end as Milford finished the game with nine men.

The point keeps Hakin in second place while Milford drop one place to fifth.

Elsewhere, moving up to fourth was Merlins Bridge seconds who came from behind to beat Monkton Swifts seconds.

The Bridge found themselves 4-2 down at half time but a superb second half saw them win 10-4.

Joe Leahy scored six goals, Will Haworth also scored three and Ryan Doyle also grabbed a goal.

League leaders Kilgetty saw their game with Herbrandston called off, as was the game between Broad Haven and Pennar Robins seconds.

Third placed Johnston drew 1-1 away at St Clears. Scott Crawford put Johnston ahead while the Saints saw Dorian Davies sent off before the break.

Despite being down to ten men, the Saints equalised in the second half through Jon Seeley.

Marcus Allen was sent off for Johnston late on as the game finished 10v10.

Saturday’s other result saw Solva earn their first win of the season as they beat Milford Athletic 4-2.
