ON Sunday (May 29), Narberth’s Under 10s celebrated a fantastic season of rugby with their awards presentation kindly hosted at the Club.
Having missed the initial year of contact due to covid, this fantastic squad of boys, proudly lead by dedicated coaches Matthew Johns & Wyndham Williams, were soon recognised to be the team all sides wanted to beat but very little did they let this happen.
True skill, expert defence, these boys are willing to put their bodies on the line through tackles and rucks, picking themselves up from knocks and bouncing back into the game was some of the comments the coaches made during the presentation.
“Every player deserves a place in our squad & on the field, they are a fantastic bunch of boys & girls, its hard to pick individual winners as it’s a team that bring success, however there are a few exceptional players worthy of special mentions” (listed below).
The players & supporters thanked the coaches & acknowledged what an amazing job they do mainly on wet cold Friday evenings when I’m sure there are more inviting places to be, special mentions also went to Neil Davies, Jason Jennings, Jamie Goldsworthy & Will Nicholas for their help & support.
The team are proud they have 3 boys selected for the County U11’s team, Iori Williams, William Haines & Tomos Nicholas, the Narberth team are always behind them.
