Vikings hit Tish for six

HAKIN UNITED earned their sixth straight league win on Saturday (Jan 29) as they beat St Ishmaels 6-1.

The Vikings took the lead eight minutes before the break as Leon Luby set up Shane Walsh to score.

On the stroke of half time, Hakin doubled their lead through Justin Harding.

Leon Luby made it 3-0 seven minutes into the second half and he scored again three minutes later.

Hakin then saw Jaden Chapman sent off but soon after the visitors were awarded a penalty. Harding scored it to make it 5-0.

Brennan Devonald pulled a goal back for Tish seven minutes from the end as they didn’t give up.

In injury time, Walsh scored his second goal of the game to make it 6-1.

The win keeps Hakin in second place, seven points behind leaders Goodwick United.

On Saturday, February 5, Hakin travel to Carew in the quarter finals of the West Wales Cup, kick off 1:30pm.

Tish are in action in Division 1 as they travel to Fishguard.
