Who needs what on the final day of the cricket season?

THE final day of the cricket season is almost upon us and there are still some issues to be decided.

In Division 1, Cresselly sit top but they can still be caught by Llangwm. Llangwm sit 17 points behind and would need a 20-point win and hope that Cresselly pick up only two bonus points to win the league.

Cresselly need just the three points to be crowned Division 1 champions for the first time since

Sadly, both Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock have already been relegated from Division 1.

The fight to see who will replace them is four-team battle. Burton sit top of the second Division, two points ahead of Herbrandston.

Whitland sit eight points further back in third and fourth placed Llechryd are only 13 points behind the top two.

Burton win and they go up as champions but anything less and Herbie will be champions instead if they win their game at Lamphey.

Should Burton lose that would open the door for Whitland or Llechryd, who play each other, to snatch promotion.

Whitland would need a 20-point win and hope that Burton or Herbie don’t get more than 10 to go up as champions or in second place.

If Llechryd beat Whitland they would also need Herbie to pick up less than seven points to achieve promotion.

At the bottom end, Pembroke sit bottom but could escape if they get a 20-point win and must hope Carew seconds and Lamphey get less than seven or five bonus points respectively.

Lamphey need a win to ensure their survival but Carew could relegate them if they win and Lamphey slip up.

In Division 3, Kilgetty have already secured promotion and will now be looking to win the league title. They play Haverfordwest seconds who sit in third place.

However, should Cresselly seconds win their game against Narberth seconds, they could be crowned champions if Kilgetty get less than ten points.

At the bottom end, Llanrhian seconds are already relegated but the fight is on to avoid the second relegation spot.

Neyland seconds hold that position at the moment and they need to win well and hope that Narberth seconds don’t get many bonus points from their game in order to stay up.

The Division 4 title has already been won by Burton seconds and one of Llangwm seconds or Llechryd seconds will join them in the third division next year.

Llangwm seconds visit Lawrenny seconds while Llechryd seconds host Carew thirds.

The Division 5 North title has already been won by Crymych and Kilgetty seconds are guaranteed a second placed finish.

Hundleton were crowned Division 5 South champions last weekend and Pembroke Dock seconds are guarnteed to finish in second.
