Wizards hit five against Narberth

MERLINS BRIDGE moved up to fifth place in Division 1 on Saturday (Jan 29) as they beat Narberth 5-0.

Merlins Bridge fielded five of their Under 18s team in the starting eleven at Narberth last Saturday and all five of them made a very good account of themselves.

The Wizards ran out 5-0 winners over at a muddy Jesse Road. Bridge took the lead midway through the first half as Will Haworth latched onto a long goal kick to score.

Ben Davies doubled the lead for the Wizards before half time with a shot into the bottom corner.

Bridge started the second half well as Leon Davies headed in number three before Haworth fired the ball into the top corner for his second goal and before the end, the striker completed his hat-trick with a well placed left footed shot into the bottom corner.

On Saturday, February 5, Narberth host Goodwick United while Merlins Bridge travel to Neyland.
