Two fingers too far: Man’s rude gesture to jailing Judge almost lands him behind bars!

In a bizarre turn of events, a man nearly ended up behind bars himself after showing two fingers to a judge who had just imprisoned his brother. The incident occurred in Cardiff Magistrates’ Court when Rhys Griffiths was sentenced to 16 weeks in jail for assault. As he was being led away by security, his brother Ashley made a rude gesture towards the judge.

Judge Steve Harmes was not amused and ordered Ashley Griffiths to enter the dock, warning him that he could face prison time if he didn’t apologize. However, Ashley, who was still fuming about his brother’s sentence, initially refused to say sorry.

“What do I have to apologize for?” he asked the judge. “I didn’t do anything wrong.”

But Judge Harmes was not about to let him off the hook that easily. “You gave me two fingers,” he reminded Ashley. “Apologize for that.”

Ashley, who by this point was in serious danger of ending up behind bars himself, decided to swallow his pride and say sorry. However, he still couldn’t resist a parting shot at the judge as he left the courtroom.

“I didn’t mean to give you two fingers,” he told reporters outside. “I was actually doing a cwtch motion towards my brother. But hey, whatever. I couldn’t give a f***.”

The judge, for his part, was unapologetic about the incident. “I don’t care what they say about me,” he told WalesOnline. “But it’s important for people to understand that you can’t get away with abusive behavior in a court of law.”

As for Rhys Griffiths, the reason for his imprisonment was just as bizarre as the incident that nearly landed his brother in jail. According to court records, he had threatened to shave his girlfriend’s head after she accidentally nicked him with a razor while shaving his back. Needless to say, the judge did not take kindly to his actions.
